Spring FOTD With Chanel

12 Apr

Good Afternoon ladies! Happy Tuesday to you all! Today, a spring FOTD featuring Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy (recommended by Jessica from Getting Cheeky, thanks girl!) I tried out another shade (Evasion) and it totally took my lips down for the count. But, I heard from another Jessica from Don’t Call Me Jessie that Evasion did not bother her lips! It is a rather lovely peachy-nude shade, and if it did not kill my lips, I would love to own it!

Chanel Spring FOTD

Product Breakdown:

  • Guerlain Meteorites Perles Primer
  • MUFE F&B #34 (giving this a test drive, as Tiffany recently raved about it, so far I am enjoying the lightweight feel!)
  • MAC Pro Longwear Concealer NW20
  • Hard Candy Smooth Talker Blush
  • MAC Give Me Sun! MSFN
  • MAC CCB Shell

  • MAC Paint Pot Vintage Selection
  • Chanel Ombres Perlees de Chanel (pinky-rose shade and purple shade) Dark grey shade for liner
  • Prestige My Blackest Lashes (upper)
  • Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara (lower)

  • Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Boy

And for good measure, a close up of Boy:

I love the shine this lipstick has and this color is so perfect. I didn’t think it was at first in the store, because in that lighting it looked like a whole bunch of nothin’ on my lips. In natural light it looks so beautiful.

Oooo! Beautiful! I love what you did with the palette! I don’t think I’ve ever used the pink shade as anything but a highlighter but it looks lovely on you! I’m terrible at subtlety, I’m all about the WHAM-POW-BOOM with the eyeshadow. =/

And Boy is so cute! I don’t have any Chanel lipsticks but I’m sure I’ll have to change that now!

Thanks Kayla! Sometimes (more like a lot of times) I like something a bit more subtle, and naturally pretty. I think the Chanel items help pull it off! 🙂

    Quite subtle but very pretty!

Thanks girl! Do you go for more subtle looks, or do you usually go for more bold and dramatic?

I love Boy on you! It definitely does not look like a whole bunch of nothing 🙂 Shame about Evasion, though. I’m glad you’re liking MUFE F&B so far – I can’t wait to get a full-sized bottle soon! How are you liking MAC Give Me Sun so far?

    • bloominbeauty April 12, 2011 at 8:04 PM #

Thanks Tiffany! I love it on me too, it looks much better in natural light than it did in the store. Even the sales lady said she couldn’t see it on my lips!
I am liking Give Me Sun, not sure that I am in love with it yet, but I really like the texture and the fact that you can build it up or sheer it out. It doesn’t go on instantly crazy-brown which I like. I will have a full review coming soon, when I have had a few more days to play with it 🙂

I LOVE this look! I’m happy I mentioned Boy, now we have the same products and I can wear a copy-cat FOTD tomorrow 🙂

Thanks Jessica! Well, the key pieces of this look came from your recommendations, I can’t wait to see your looks with these items 🙂 I am sure it will be gorg like always!

Pretty! I love the glow you’re giving off.

Aww, thanks Rai! Your skin is always so glowy too! 😉

Boy looks great on you! It’s so weird that Evasion irritated your lips and not mine! I wonder if there’s an ingredient in one that’s not in the other? Now I want to try another shade to see if they feel different to me, too! haha
